So how do you keep psyched when it feels like everything is grinding to a halt? How do you make it through until the end? Truly Independent. Doing it yourself. Working from a solid foundation. Finding a committed team. Working together, but remaining in control. It's your life. Desire and knowledge are not enough. You must learn to become assertive enough to take charge without angering people and making them leave. Being the boss without being the heavy (especially if you have people volunteering to help you out). There are many ways to seek financing and others to simple go out and do it. Being truly independent means balancing every single aspect of your movie in your own hands and finding the way to make it happen for you.
