LINUS RAUDSEPP: ARTIST 1) Please tell us a bit about yourself and what you do. I am the immortal Linus Raudsepp. a 29 year-old swedish artist. my homebase & headquarters are in stockholm sweden but I spend alot of time in california & germany. also travelling & performing in several other countries, mostly european. I do performance shows on stage, installation art at galleries, clubs & huge parties, avantgarde horror fetish films on location, macabre ballet danceshows & noisy dirty romantic music. writing poetry & painting with dark oils on big canvases are also devoted scars of my creative wounds. I work constantly. I am addicted to progressive & innovative thinking & behaviour. it is my duty as an artist to act & be like that. creating is my narcotics. the expressions are my weaponry. 2) How long have you been involved with performances and film? for several years by now. it may not seem like that, but doing this, you´re not that exposed or exploited. its alot of hard work for absolutely no money & little recognition. but I will never stop. 3) Where do you channel your inspirations from? mostly by my travelling to beautiful atmospheric places, long walks in the woods, hours by the sea in the sand, mountain hikes at dawn & trips to hot deserts, nature in general, animals & plants. gothic architecture & remarkable gardens. sleeping & dreaming. watching old movies from the 20´s, 30´s, 40´s & 50´s. but I also get great inspiration from good vegetarian food, very dark chocolate & sexual energies of various forms. I find alot of fresh inspiration in faith, fundamentalism, religions & esoterica. 4) What has been the most challenging aspect of your work? it is to please my own personal needs & to inspire other people. give them an experience they can carry with them in life. that might open their minds & hearts a bit more. impoortant to me is to always be true to my heart & stay focused. to show people some interesting alternatives to all the crap we get every day. its also a constant struggle for me to get things together. doing these wonderful things doesnt pay any bills, so its alot about priorities, choices & to surrender in my everyday life. bleeding is feeding. I would never trade this in for anything else in the world. ferraris, prada clothes & diamonds are for the weak-minded. real wealth is on the inside. in your soul. you cant crash that into a wall. you dont even need expensive insurance for that! 5) Where can someone find your art/films to purchase/view? at the moment, only thru me. I travel alot & visit different cities to perform or screen films. but on a sharp-public-demand there will soon be some channels where my art will be exposed, witnessed & sold. those who are interested will be notified. I will never fail on my supporters & followers. they are my blood, bread & gasoline. my lilacs & lillies. 6) Fill our audience's minds with some of your superior wisdom and filth. I am here to give people something important, real & mindbending, instead of all the junk out there. my art is timeless, intelligent, honest & made out of pure raw passion. life is beautiful. pain is love. flowers are us. horror is a philosophy. nature is God. Hell is close. dancing is believing. bondage is meditation. ropes around your body is massage. latex is our second skin. never stop sacrifice for your love or desires. honor the dead. bless the children, for they shall inherit the earth. money is making you lazy. walk your own path. dont hold anything back. life is short. we are only here for a few seconds. make them exciting. enjoy pleasures. challenge the flesh. listen to your lusts. celebrate all the chances & oppurtunities you get in life. please spread my dark beautiful propaganda. my art & mission needs every little kick forward it can get. thank you very much. it is highly appreciated. contact me for treats, teasers & regular updates. linusraudsepp@yahoo.com | |||||||||||||||||||
