SYD FIELD'S If you've ever written a screenplay or wanted to write a screenplay you probably already know about Syd Field and his incredible line of books. To accompany the multi-volume collection, we've come across a nice DVD product that Syd had put together entitled, "Syd Field's Screenwriting Workshop". The DVD is broken down into teh core elements of crafting a screenplay from the initial concept through a completed script. The same course is offered live at several times the cost, so the DVD is a welcome additional to any would be screencrafter. We liked Syd's approach to screenwriting the best and model our own works after his formula, but all formulas are made to be broken, so it may not be to the liking of everyone. However, we stick by it true and true with the exception of when it's ok to break those rules. Check out Syd on DVD!
