CATACOMBS comes from the dark and disturbing mind of Todd Sheets and Eclipse Video! Extreme Entertainment guru Sheets is no stranger to the realms of the dark and CATACOMBS delivers the goods and atmosphere for a wild fearfest you won't soon be forgetting! Shot on location at the Catacombs Haunted House Halloween Attraction in Kansas City, MO it is in itself a study in fear for everyone involved, including you! Only a lucky and select group of eight individuals have been chosen for a study in fear experiment by being locked in the Catacombs Haunted House for the weekend! The group is made up of a variety of fear industry folks, such as a scream queen actress, a comic book geek, a psychology major, a horror webmistress, a horror-zine publisher, a documentary filmmaker, a writer and actress, and the world's favorite fanboy!! Then there is good old Dr West, who has invited them to this experiment into terror! The study is fear and it's effects on the group. He lays out the ground rules for the study and surprises the group with the addition of cult action hero stars, Mack Brazzle and Durville Sweet! They are split up into three groups and sent out into the house to enjoy the weekend, but what starts out as fun turns deadly when some freak in a white mask shows up to take them out one by one! Their blood and souls are needed in this carnal house of horror and there is no escape! One by one they start to fall into the hands of gruesome death and ultimate gore!! Nasty deaths with painful, gut-wrenching dismemberment and hell-raising metal screaming as they all meet their makers! Killer! This movie is not for the wimps! When darkness falls across the land and you find yourself alone in the CATACOMBS, don't breath, don't speak, for the dark things are here and they won't let you go! This, our lucky participants find out all too soon and there is no escape for them from the madness of the masked man and his ultimate sacrifice to those of the dark! PRODUCTION NOTES Kick ass! Nicely done with killer atmosphere and wild lighting set-ups!! Bravo Todd Sheets! It's sweet to see a slasher of disaster really pulling the guts from his prey instead of a cutaway or MPAA censored slice! Extreme Entertainment! Nice a fun! Perhaps the coolest part of this movie is the location! Catacombs Haunted House! Wicked cool sets through out and fun to see the wild bits of this attraction from an insider's view! We liked the story setup and the wild white mask killer! When he took his mask off and spoke we knew we weren't in Kansas anymore! (No pun intended!) This killer is pure crazy! Bottom line freaky and scary! Run, do not walk when he appears at your doorstep!! Then there's the lighting! Nice job with the lighting and colors! Really added to the already wicked atmosphere! Did we forget the GORE!! No way man!! The gore is abundant and aplenty! The cup runneth over and the red doeth flow in the most brilliant of ways! Slicing and dicing and chopping and crunching! Blood and gore upon the floor! Open up CATACOMBS and the blood drips from the videocassette! Nice job! Hats off to the acting team!
