- Sol Brosky (Peter Tomarken) is the producer of the cursed play "Turpitude". Fifteen years ago his lover and leading lady Kay Taggert (Suzan Spann) was murdered on opening night. The crime has never been solved. Now Sol wishes to resurrect and put "Turpitude" back on the stage, but strange things are happening once again. Mysterious accidents, injuries, and the reported sightings of Kay's ghost is enough to pull in the help of acclaimed Parapsychologist Charles Mooreland (Carl Miller).

- Charles finds joy in debunking phony mystics and mediums. He has built his career on it. With the help of his trusty assistant, Eddie (Joseph Nader), and Kathy Benton (Joan Duffy), a reporter looking for the ultimate ghost story, they are out to solve the haunting of "Turpitude". However, what this time they may be up against the real thing!

- The production moves forward at full steam, but not necessarily according to plan. Sol has cast his new girlfriend, Jade (Mary Williams), in the lead role. The problem is she's not the best actress for the lead of "Turpitude", and everyone else, except Sol, knows it. Does this evoke bitter rivalry?

- Then Kathy "sees" the ghost of Kay Taggert! This ups the ante and Charles brings in the heavy equipment to measure and record paranormal activity, and mainly to disprove con artists and frauds.
