HITMAN

To be honest, we didn't quite know what to expect when we put in HITMAN, but we found out! HITMAN rocked! A wild ride of a movie that was nominated for BEST FOREIGN MOVIE and BEST EDITING at the B-MOVIE FILM FESTIVAL! Here we have a movie described as PULP FICTION meets HARD BOILED and EL MARIACHI, and we find out it delivers the goods! AWESOME!

HITMAN starts out with a wild "artistic" action shot that we later find out is what the lead Lucky Delon life has progressed to. Lucky is a prize fighter that has worked hard to get where he wants. He is approached by a gangster to throw his next fight. The one rule he must not break is to NOT f$ck with the gangster. If you mess with him, then he messes with you. Needless to say, Lucky does not throw the fight and the gangster is hot!

Lucky is not so lucky when it comes to a variety of things. His lover is with someone else when he brings her flowers and the gangster's henchmen show up. When he is caught and beaten by the henchmen, he is given one opportunity to redeem himself and survive. Perform a hit. Kill a target and be set free. Even. But things are never as easy as they seem to be. Especially when you really do not want to be a killer, but must to save your own life.

The henchmen are works of art. The Frenchman in particular is one you just want to kill yourself. He is a cold-blooded killer with no remorse as he shows us when he kills a woman in front of Lucky. He has to do what he's told or die that simply and there's nothing he can do about it.

He is entrusted to Harvey Roach, the ultimate hitman, who teaches him how to be a killer. How to be a HITMAN. (Harvey is a dead on Clint Eastwood at times as well! We friggin loved this!)

Lucky goes forth and performs the hit, but the gangster has more up his sleeve for him. The problem is that now Lucky has become a Hitman, the killing doesn't bother him so much, especially when he has certain individuals on his list. BUT can he hit the pros before the hit him?

HITMAN is a winner! Excellent movie with killer dialogue and wild action!

PRODUCTION NOTES

WOW! A great movie that really reminded us of Pulp Fiction with element of El Mariachi most definitely! One that should be watched just for the powerful editing and character interaction. It really stands out in these elements!

Kudos to writer/director/producer Roberto Roarke!!! Excellent job!

The entire cast was outstanding as well! No complaints ,except perhaps some overacting, but overall it is rock solid and performed well!

The camera angles in particular ROCK! Again some of the same elements from Pulp Fiction and El Mariachi, but they are outstanding and fun to watch! A variety of lens tricks and editing techniques light up the screen and grab your attention! That's the number one goal! Grab the audience and don't let go!

Now there are a few moments in the beginning that didn't work as well, but after that, the editing is solid throughout! Excellent work by all!

Make sure to add the HITMAN to your list of low budget movies to watch. Check out the action scenes and how they translate from a Hollywood set to a low budget feature! Then try them yourself!

Grab it from Sub Rosa Studios!
