INDEPENDENT MOVIE REVIEWS:
MERCHANTS OF DEATH

Dennis Devine and Jason Stephens team up as both writers and directors for this murderous rampage known as MERCHANTS OF DEATH!! Cinematrix Releasing once again delivers the goods in their arsenal of low-budget independent movies! This time those that profit from the misery and death of others are gonna pay! Cinematrix favorites Christine Lydon and Ray Storti head up a killer cast in MERCHANTS OF DEATH!

We open with a beautiful bound and topless girl as a shadowed figure explains her new life of horror and pain and death. Who is she and why is she here? The figure wants her to talk and talk she does, but not quite as fearful as he would have hoped. She's a bit defiant, all the way to the end. Unfortunately hers' comes all to quickly, but the moment is captured on video and marked SUZIE.

Now Suzie isn't the only one they have lured into their clutches. There have been many before and there will be many more if they are not stopped. Rachel goes to a casting call at what appears to be a theatre, but she is met by a man in black and white makeup (Les Sekely! Awesome!) who tells her the storylineÉ

Two women, bound and gagged, are deposited in a shed. One in hysterics, the other strong and apparently ready for action. She immediately assesses the situation and prepares to surprise her aggressors! The plan works and both thugs go down, but a third one comes in and puts an end to the shenanigans! Oh well, some plans are not cracked up to what they should be.

The video cameras roll. It's the hysterical girl's turn in the hotseat and the shadowed director begins his speech. He promises immortality in the form of leaving her body. She spills the beans about the other girl. Turns out the girl is Suzie's sister, Gretchen and she has been looking for these guys for the past two years. But these guys don't care and she is left hanging, another video for the shelf.

Gretchen is still bound and gagged. She befriends one of the thugs, Lenny, and gets more information from him. The MERCHANTS OF DEATH are snuff video producers! Can Gretchen stop the madness? Or will she be the next work of art for the video masters snuff collection? And what about Rachel? What is her predicament and will she also be a star of this perverse madness? Check it out and see!

Then there's the story about the priest and his particular view of judgement and how the punishment for sin must be dealt out!

PRODUCTION NOTES

Once again kudos go out to Cinematrix Releasing and writer/directors Dennis Devine and Jason Stephens! Excellent movie with great twists and turns and the wonderful cast we love! Love the story here! Great characters and great opportunity for Les Sekely to strut his stuff!!

And speaking of Les, we picked out three roles, and bet there were more! Great job by everyone!!

Dennis Devine was the cinematographer and makes great use of camera techniques! Really gets into the action and not afraid to move the camera!

We love to see everyone in action and MERCHANTS OF DEATH packs the punch of a fun and thrilling independent movie! Check it out at:
