This is another gem from Unknown Productions and Cinematrix Releasing. The setting for AMAZON WARRIOR is an apocalyptic future Earth where technology is gone and people survive by their wits, skills and strength. As a child, Tara (J.J. Rodgers) saw the destruction of her Amazon tribe and the murder of her mother. She now is a mercenary for hire and always on the lookout for those who destroyed her people. She is hired to guide the two daughters of the Lord Barelli on a diplomatic mission through the wilderness. Beautiful and prissy, they are not able to survive the untold dangers on their own. Tara takes care of them the best she can. Along the way they are befriended by Clint (Jimmy Jerman) a mercenary and an ex-Marauder who share a common goal of seeking out and destroying the leader of the Marauders, General Steiner, the one responsible for destroying the Amazon's and murdering Tara's mother. Tara is known as the Angel of Death to the Marauders and the tables are turned on her as she is delivered to Steiner as his prisoner. Tare is freed by the mercenary who has a change of heart and back to back they confront the Marauders in an all out battle of life and death. They wreak havoc on the Marauder camp as Steiner slips away. The Ultimate Battle occurs between Tara and Steiner a short time later as she confronts him with the knowledge that she is the last of the Amazon Warriors. Dennis Devine reigns at the helm as director and gives us a fantastic adventure with great looks and excellent battles. The story and screenplay come from Steve Jarvis who created a great world to explore. David De Palo did the music that flows perfectly with the action. J.J. Rodgers portrays Tara, our heroine. She does an excellent job that looks pretty physical and demanding. Bravo! Jimmy Jerman plays the mercenary Clint who, like Tara, wants Steiner dead. Kudos to Jimmy who makes this character shine! Christine Lydon plays Lara, an Amazon on patrol who is attacked by the Marauders. She is wonderful and kicks butt! Al Spencer is the ex-Marauder and is superb! Fantastic acting with his entire being! Athena Demos and Zrinka Domic are the merchant Barelli's daughters. Great job as two whiners out roughing it in the wilderness! Bob Sherer as the merchant Barelli is grand! Katarina Facchino plays Tara's mother and does a beautiful job teaching and protecting the young Tara. Producer Raymond Storti is the villain Steiner. Wonderful performance and sinister indeed! Associate Producer Les Sekely makes an appearance as a holy man that Tara and the girls meet along the path. A great job!!
