INDEPENDENT MOVIE REVIEWS:
42K AN ABSURD COMEDY

42K follows the outrageous antics of a group of friends as all hell breaks loose!

What starts as a normal day for Mike, Aaron, Jon, Drew, and Jarod quickly turns upside down when Drew puts on the accursed Sergi necklace...

Yet what kind of curse is it that brings the hot, sexy quartet of babes (Jessica, Tracy, Jade & Sissy) into their lives for a night of sheer delight?

Unbeknownst to our heroes, machete wielding vampires (not the kind with fangs and dreamy looks) are on the prowl to retrieve the Sergi.

Drew watches as Jarod bites the dust at the hands of the vampires and must give up his moment of fun with a hot babe to warn his friends.

Things get really wild as the guys enlist the help of three ninjas, two Christians, and a gangsta rapper to do battle with the vampires.

This movie has it all! From fun song and dance numbers to ninja fight scenes, 42K will keep you laughing from start to finish! You do not want to miss it!

It states on the box:

"Made in five days with a 25 page script, small crew and GRANDE CAHONES..."

This feature shines with talent, skill, and professionalism. Great camera work from Donovan Mlcoch and brilliant editing by Rick Pratt keeps the eyes moving and increases dramatic and comedic effect.

Everyone seems to be having a blast which makes it hard to confirm if they are even acting. Superb talent here! (BTW-Acting was confirmed by the outtakes during the final credits. Excellent.)

The editing makes the movie rock! This is smart editing with great sound effects that really enhance the entire production. I love the little sounds like the cartoon whistle as Drew slides down a banister. Great stuff!

The music kicks! Perfect little musical numbers accompany the action like music videos and crack you up. These are hilarious.

Then we have the ninjas and the Christians! You have to see them on your own, but be sure these segments are a crack up! Perfect timing. Perfect moves. Perfect laughs.

My hats off to Darren Doane and Ken Daurio for giving us this cinematic gem of laughs and chaos. I loved it and recommend it to anyone who wants a great laugh.

Drew Stewart is Drew. He is the one that puts on the Sergi and brings the curse upon his friends. Great actor, good looks! Hilarious antics! Watch the Sergi! We hope to see his career go far!

Mike Asman as Mike is a riot! Mike, we are wondering if you will ever figure out how to take a hint and get some! Excellent performance!

Jon Monroy is Jon! He's a lightening fast runner (trust us here) and is really there for his friends, even if at the last minute. Peaches for Jon, they're good for your tummy! Kudos!

Aaron Bruno is Aaron! Sort of a centralized force among his friends, he stands ready for action, calms tempers, and lands the girls for the evening. Oh, Aaron, please wash your hands! You kick!

Jarod Legsdin is the ill-fated Jarod. Definite psycho ready for Y2K and meets his untimely demise with the first attack of the machete vampires, or does he? Great acting by a great actor!

Jessica Ballard, Tracey Phillips, Jade Rouggiero, and Sissy St. John are the ladies of the evening. All are beautiful and wonderful actresses! Great looks to die for! Sorry you were so alone while the boys did battle. We hope to see more of you in the future!

Ken Daurio is the ninja caddie. Freakin awesome! Great, kick-ass and funny! We loved ya!

Darren Doane is the lead Christian. Wonderful! Funny! Great performance and energy! Need we say---we loved ya!

Please visit NEW AGE RECORDS for more information about 42K and Darren Doane's first feature GODMONEY(THRAE review coming soon). Both movies are a must see!
