The beat begins. The night ritual is wrought. The tribe puts a spike through his head. And the blood starts to flow! SAVAGE HARVEST screams to life when the descendent of a Cherokee elder returns to accursed ground and demonic forces are unleashed! Writer/Director Eric Stanze delivers a tour de force of destruction with wicked demons and killer effects! A group of friends go to a camp to help clean out a barn and enjoy a bit of camping, but not much cleanup happens when the arrive. The land the camp is on is cursed. It was once Cherokee land and a Cherokee elder summoned an evil that destroyed his tribe. These forces have lain dormant awaiting his return. One of the group is a descendent of the elder and the demons sense this connection and begin to possess and destroy the group! The barn is a wreck and the friends are ready for a hard day of work ahead of them, but first they settle in for the night and some camping fun! The owner explains the history of the land and the dark magic of the elder. There are a variety of demons and they are unleashed when their passageways are opened through the elder's old symbols and the descendent of the elder comes on the land. One by one the demons possess them and turn them into viscous killing creatures! Wicked monsters that feed off the flesh and blood of those still living!! Nasty and gorific FX!!!! They cannot run. They cannot hide. They cannot escape. The elder's magic binds them to the land and the demon's harvest is at hand! PRODUCTION NOTES AWESOME movie! Wicked and fun and full of Eric Stanze delivers wild imagery and incredible visuals in this wild ride through hell! The immediate thing that had us hooked was the camera movement! Excellent and cinematic! Just what we love to see! The editing is top notch! Everything flows great and the cuts are right on the money! Then the gore! This movie BATHES in the gooey stuff! AND it bathes well! Great FX and action that propels the story along, not sacrificing it! The FX is not your ordinary fare as it is used in imaginative ways, which we liked. Not a slice and dice, but more of a demonic, shred 'em to bits type of ride! Sweet and messy! The scenes in the woods at night make Blair Witch look like kiddy fare! This movie is a must see for those wanting a good thrill ride and to see what is being done! Very creative and effective! Then there's the music!
