STITCHES is a wicked tale from the underworld and writer Benjamin Carr and director Neal Marshall Stevens (Check him out in Fangoria #200!). Headed up under the FULL MOON PICTURES and TEMPE ENTERTAINMENT label by producers Chuck Williams and J.R. Bookwalter, this demon comes guised in the skin of a sweet grandmotherly type, but she'll get you in the end if you want something so badly that you'll do anything to get it! STITCHES wrecks havoc on the world and if you're not careful whom you trust; you may end up part of a collection in a book of paper dolls! We open in the very bowels of hell as a demonic woman has completed her guise to enter the world of man. A skin that when donned looks the innocent part and she can ascend among the humans and take souls for her collection! She leaves her crypt of dark brimstone and the lovely screams of the tortured to grab what she can from the wicked on earth. Mrs. Albright joins a group of borders at a wonderful little house where she will pay room and board and try her hand at collecting a special something from each boarder in the form of paper dolls in her book. She joins a discussion about the devil and offers here own personal look into the matter. She knows the power of the devil and how to use it, even offering up a hint of a "fair warning" to her fellow boarders in the house. Now, Mr. Reynolds wants to know the truth about demons and heaven and hell, but he doesn't quite believe it's all true, unless he can lay his eyes upon the truth and know for a fact that it is real. Mrs. Albright is all to willing to prove it for him, but for a price of course. He accepts the price not knowing what he is really agreeing too, or to whom he is doing the agreeing. She has him unbutton the back of her dress to reveal her stitches! She has him loosen them a bit so she can slip out of the skin and prove to him the truth about demons! Now he has to pay the piper and he now becomes a part of her collection! She does have a bit of an edge on everyone in the house. Her little brown imp has filtered itself through the rooms of the house and let her peer into each of their private lives. She knows what their secret desires are and she knows the power she has to make offer them what they want and how to collect the payment! More of a sucker play instead of an offer, but they buy it one by one until only the most religious of the bunch and the most innocent are remaining. When they discover Mrs. Albright's identity and purpose they must find a way to survive and Mrs. Albright is not going to make that an easy task! With the aid of her minions she puts a stop to any escape attempts and holds the power of the eternal soul over their heads. Who will she take with her to the underworld and who will be set free and who will be stuck in the painful, torturous STITCHES?!?! PRODUCTION NOTES Excellent movie! Top notch production at an ultra low budget with killer special effects and fun story! We loved it and look forward to more of these collaborative efforts between FULL MOON and TEMPE ENTERTAINMENT! Kudos goes out to director Neal Marshall Stevens for this delightful treat of sin and decadence and the fight for the very soul! Excellent job! Nice setups and movements! Overall this is the type of stuff we love to see! Creepy and straight forward with those fun twists and turns that remind us of the things that go bump in the night. Excellent job by all involved: Chuck Willams and J.R. Bookwalter!! Benjamin Carr! Special nod to David Barton's Modus EFX, David Lange and Ariauna Albright (coincidence in the naming of the lead character?? MmmmÉ)!
