THE GOOD BOOK is a definite must see that pushes boundaries and raises the bar for low budget movies. Nominated for Best Villain, Best Editing, Best Set Design, and Best Special Effects at the 1999 B-Movie Awards, THE GOOD BOOK took home the coveted Best Make Up Effects award.

The movie is set in the distant future where the Earth has experienced environmental and economical collapse. The Geographically Viable Control (GVC) is formed to halt the fall of society. GVC creates zones for people to live in and unites the world through the internet. One world, one government, one web.

It is illegal and dangerous to go outside your home. You must live solely off the internet while GVC employees will provide the necessities. They are the only ones allowed outside. Those who have not complied with GVC's instructions have either died or deteriorated into something far less than human. Moaning and groaning these mutant sub-humans shamble the streets in search of humanity.

GVC employee Joseph Cyrus (Brian Campbell) follows his mundane duties and helps so called normal citizens with their computer equipment. Its almost tragic if they are separated from the internet for any length of time.

Joseph is dissatisfied with his job and his boss Kern (Alan Ambron). He shoots mutant humans because they get in his way. He has no ambitions or goals, but after receiving visions from God(Barry Gersen), his life makes a turn in another direction.

God wants Joseph to destroy the internet with a virus Joseph accidentally created some time ago. Called the Satan Bug, it has the potential to cause the downfall of what remains of humanity. Joseph must look deep into himself to see if he is able to do God's will.

All Hell breaks loose when Joseph is arrested for Kern's murder. He runs from GVC pursuers who in turn are running from a hoard of mutants. Joseph comes face to face with the being claiming to be God and is forced to give up the Satan Bug.

Will this be the end of humanity? Pick up THE GOOD BOOK and see for yourself. THE GOOD BOOK unleashes a little Hell that you don't want to miss!

THE GOOD BOOK was written by Matthew Giaquinto and Barry Gerdsen. It has a strong story structure and makes great use of non-linear style with Joseph's visions of the future that ultimately come true.

Matthew Giaquinto is the master at the helm. Serving as both Director and Editor, he gives us an exciting and visually stimulating movie that makes full use of the chaotic world he has created for us. Outstanding!!

Fred Kaemer heads up the special effects with East Coast Effects that really took this movie to the next level. Congratulations on the award!

The music was composed and performed by Chris Paine. Excellent! Each piece is superb and works beautifully with the images on screen. Bravo! AND the camera work was expertly done by Anthony Della Quinta.

Brian Campbell is Joseph and gives an outstanding performance, exploring the depths of madness and realization of being manipulated.

Barry Gerdsen is the big man himself. The doer of evil deeds and master manipulator, the Devil himself. Excellent portrayal of a calm, cool, collected super being and even more so as the raging beast itself.

Chris Paine is Mike Sturges and does a glorious job of making this character tick.

Alan Ambron as the overbearing Kern is great! He is the boss we all love to hate.

THE GOOD BOOK is the winner of the Best Make Up Effects Award from the 1999 B-Movie Awards and comes highly recommended by THRAE. Check it out at the DROP DEAD FILMS website www.dropdeadfilms.com. This is one you do not want to miss.
